NOTICE
Applications are invited from the students of M. Phil / M.Sc and MBA (1st
year) of the University for the award of Punjab Educational Endowment Fund
Scholarships (PEEF) for the academic session 2015-16 on the prescribed
application form available from the photocopy shop of this university.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
 Must have Punjab Domicile
 Must have secured at least 60% marks or a minimum CGPA 2.5 in BA /
B.Sc / B.Com / BS / BBA / etc. examination held in 2013/2014/2015 (annual)
in Punjab.
 Secured admission as a full time student in the current academic / Degree
year (2015-16) in one of the Partner University / Govt. Postgraduate
College.
 Students enrolled in spring / fall session (where applicable) are also eligible
to apply for PEEF Scholarships.
 Declared monthly income of parents (from all sources) is equal to or less
than Rs. 30,000/-
– Children of Govt. Employees in BPS-1-4 are exempted from condition
of income, if salary is only source of income.
 Not availing any other educational Scholarship during the current academic
year
 Fulfills the criteria for award of financial aid of the respective University /
Postgraduate College.
INELIGIBILITY
 Students who already have already passed /possessed M.A / M.Sc. / M.S
/ M. Phil / etc.
 Marks improved or students who have passed examinations in
supplementary session.
 Students who have passed the aforementioned examination with grace
marks (*).
 Employee in any Govt. intuition or any other private sector is not eligible
for the award of said scholarship.

Applications completed in all respect must be reached in the Financial
Aid office upto 09-05-2016 positively.

1. Income certificate (attested by the Patwari, Numberdar, Nazim, Naib Nazim or
Secretary of the Union Council).
2. Copies of last month utility bills (Water, Gas, Electricity and Telephone).
3. Death Certificate (in case of orphan.)
In case of any query by the students for the said scholarship, please
contact at the Financial Aid Office during the office hours.
INELIGIBILITY
I. Those students whose family income is more than 30,000/- from all
sources are not eligible for the said scholarship.
II. Those students whose are obtained below 2.5 CGPA or fail in one
or more subject in last semester are not eligible for said scholarship.
III. In case of any misstatement / false information on the prescribed
application by the applicant, his / her admission will be cancelled.

ELIGIBILITY FOR M.PHIL PROGRAM

 

A candidate seeking admission in M.Phil /M.S degree programs in a subject must possess a sixteen years education or 4 years B.A / B.S.  or equivalent program after F.A/F.Sc. (130 credit hours) or Master degree in the subject / related field Library Science from any recognized University / Institution with a minimum obtained marks 50%  (Annual System) or its equivalent CGPA, 2.50 in Semester System.

 

ELIGIBILITY FOR PH.D PROGRAM

 

For pursuing a Ph.D degree, a 30 credit hours M.Phil/MS degree with 1st division of CGPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 or overall 60% marks in annual system or equivalent in the relevant subject is a prerequisite from any recognized University. In case of foreign degree, it will be made sure that it is equivalent to Pakistani M.Phil/M.S degree from any recognized University / Institution.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

M.Phil. degree program will be open to all who meet the admission criteria. However, serving candidates will have to submit N.O.C. from their respective Department with the application form. A study leave document from their respective employer for a period of two years has to be submitted at the time of registration. The candidate will be a full time regular student for two years to cover the course work.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

 

Applications should be submitted together with attested four copies of all educational certificates; detail marks certificates, Local/Domicile certificate, C.N.I.C etc. Admission form can be obtained from the office of the Assistant Registrar (Planning), University of Balochistan on payment of Rs. 2,000/- through Challan of Habib Bank Limited, University Branch Quetta.

 

The complete applications/forms will have to be deposited in relevant Department/Institute/Center. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.

 

Last date for receipt of Applications is July, 15th 2015.
