The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced opening of admissions of Elementary Arabic Course, SSC (Matric), HSSC (Intermediate) and Bachelor’s (BA) level programmes for Pakistanis in the Middle East.

Pakistanis in Middle East countries can download the admission forms and prospects from the university’s website (del.aiou.edu.pk), Director admissions of the varsity, Syed Ziaul Hasnain, said in a press release issued here on Wednesday.
The applicants have been advised to contact the Directorate of Overseas Education and E-Learning, ICT Building, AIOU Islamabad or at their phone 051-9057165, 051-9250175 or e-mail, overseas@aiou.edu.pk.
In addition, the admissions form and prospectuses for the semester autumn, 2014 from Matric to PhD level programmes can be obtained from the sale-points of admission forms at its main campus in Islamabad and at its 44 regional campuses and 122 coordinating offices across the country in order to facilitate students at their doorsteps.
The admission forms, along with the prescribed fee, could be submitted in countrywide branches of Bank Al Falah, Habib Bank Ltd, First Women Bank and Allied Bank and at the nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank. The detail of designated branches is available in the prospectuses as well as in the regional offices. He said the fee in shape of a bank draft or pay order will not be accepted at any case.
There will be no requirement of NTS-GAT (General/Subject) for admission in PhD and MS/M.Phil programmes, however entry test will be conducted by the concerned department, said the official.
