GCU FSD Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) Master Level Scholarship Session 2015-16

Applications are invited on the prescribed form from the highly Needy and Talented students (Punjab Domicile) admitted during winter semester 2015-16 in the Master Level study program.

Eligibility

  1. Secured at least 60% marks or minimum 2.5 CGPA in B.A/B.Sc/BBA/BS and B.Com held in 2015 (annual) in Punjab.
  2. Students who already have secured M.A./M.Sc. Degree are not eligible for PEEF Master Level Scholarship.
  3. Passed the aforementioned examination from: Government Institution Private Affiliated Institution as Private Candidate.
  4. Students enrolled in fall session and morning/afternoon/evening sessions (where applicable) are also eligible to apply
  5. Declared monthly income parents (from all resources) is equal to 0r less than Rs.30,000/-.
  6. Children of Govt. employees of Grade 1-4 are exempted from condition of income of Rs.30,000/- month, if salary is only source of income.
  7. Students admitted on Self finance/Self-support programs, or any other scholarship, Employee in any organization or in any project, students on study leave from any department or those who have been charged with major/minor penalty due to misconduct etc. are not eligible for this scholarship.
  8. Applicants have to appear before the Scholarship Awarding Committee according to the Schedule and venue notified (later on )

Penalty for False Information

  1. Cancellation of admission.
  2. Initiation of criminal proceedings.
  3. Disqualification for award of any future loan/scholarship
  4. Refund of all the payment received and or a penalty equal to total scholarship amount.

How to Apply

All the interested and needy students who aspire to apply for admission to the above programs are encouraged to apply on prescribed forms available from the Mian Jee Photostat near Chenab Chowk, Gate no. 02 GC University or can be download from website www.gcuf.edu.pk. Application forms incomplete in any respect and not supported by the required documents and after due date will not be entertained. The last date for the receipt of applications is 13th November, 2015.

Attested Documents to be Attached

  1. Educational documents from Matric to onwards.
  2. Income Certificate duly verified by the ilqa Tehsildar in case of Agriculture, Computerized salary slip in respect of serving personnel (Government/Semi- Government) and by Income Tax Officer concerned for businessmen, Doctors, Advocates and Administrator/Secretary for labours. (Phone no of issuing authority should also be mentioned on the certificate)
  3. Domicile Certificate / National Identity Card of applicant, father and mother
  4. In case of Orphan Student, Death Certificate of father must be attached.
  5. Current Utility bills (Electricity, Gas, Telephone, Water)
  6. Copy of last income tax return (if applicable)
  7. Attested copy of rent agreement (if applicable)
  8. Copies of last & latest fee receipts of self and siblings i.e. brothers, sisters
  9. Copies of Medical bills, related documents and expenditure incurred more than Rs.2000/P.M
  10. Proof of previous scholarship(s) attained (if applicable)
  11. Statement of purpose & three passport size Photographs

AUQAF, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs Department intends to grant Scholarships under its “ADP No 64-150179-Scholorship Program for Muslim Students Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” (2015-16) on need basis to the most talented students in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Eligibility:

  • Students must have good academic record with at least 70 percent Marks in the last Passed Examination
  • Students availing any other Scholarships at University of Malakand need NOT to apply and or engaged in any private & govt. job or in a project need not to apply.

Procedure:

  • Download application from the University of Malakand by clicking here.
  • Read Terms and Conditions before filling the Application Form
  • Complete application form duly signed from the Head of the Department
  • Submit to the office of the Students Financial Assistance on or before 18 November 2015.
  • The Application of all eligible students will be forwarded to AUQAF, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa  for assessment and the award of the scholarships

Economic and Social Development Scholarship (2016) UK

Available to students registered on a one-year (full time) Master’s degree programmes in the areas specified below.

Intended for students who will contribute to the economic or social development of their countries when they return on completion of their studies.

Awards will be made on the basis of academic merit (not financial need).

Holders of the Economic and Social Development Scholarship are unable to hold another scholarship from the University of Sussex

Eligibility

In order to be considered for the Economic and Social Development Scholarship you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a nationals from, and resident in, one of the following countries: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
  • Have applied for and been offered a place on a full time Master’s degree in the following subject areas only: Anthropology, Development Studies/International Development (including the Institute of Development Studies), Economics, Education (including MA in Childhood and Youth Studies), Gender Studies, International Relations, Human Rights, Migration Studies;
  • Be classified to pay fees at the ‘overseas’ rate.
  • Intend to remain on the programme for which the scholarship is offered.

You will not be eligible for consideration if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • Studied at degree level previously in the UK (including having studied at Sussex);
  • Hold any other University of Sussex Scholarship

The scholarship selection process takes into account:

  1. Academic ability, judged on previous study at degree level;
  2. Plans for activity after you have finished your studies either to stimulate economic development or social development;
  3. Relevant work experience that will support the activity.
