Austrian offer to Grants/Scholarships to Pakistan in Multi-Disciplines for Higher Studies

The Austrian Universities under aegis of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy are offering grants/scholarships to Pakistan in multi-disciplines for higher studies. Those scholarships are under the Franz Werfel scholarship and Ernst Mach Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2015-2016.

 

Franz Werfel Scholarship for young university teachers of German language and Austrian literature 

 

Area of study or research:

Humanities

Linguistics and Literature

Target group:

Postgraduates
PhD holders

Duration:

4 to 9 months

Quota:

Maximum of 7 new awards per academic year! If the research activity is successful, the grant can, on request, be renewed (total duration 18 months).

Grant benefit paid:

1)      Monthly grant : grant: 1040 EUR,  book allowance: 93 EUR

2)      Accident and health insurance, accommodation If necessary, the OeAD-GmbH will take out an accident and health insurance on behalf of the grant recipient.

3)      The OeAD-GmbH will endeavor to provide accommodation (student hall of residence or flat) for recipients of grants who wish to get accommodation arranged by the OeAD. Monthly costs: 220 EUR to 470 EUR (depending on how much comfort the recipients of grants want). An administration fee of 18 EUR per month is payable to the OeAD-GmbH for arranging accommodation. The costs for insurance and accommodation have to be paid out of the grant by the recipient of the grant.

4)      Recipients of grants are exempted from paying tuition fees.

5)      Recipients of grants from non-European developing countries will also receive a travel costs subsidy of 730 EUR maximum.

Ernst Mach Grant for studying at an Austrian university of applied sciences

 

Area of study or research:

Natural Sciences
Technical Sciences
Human Medicine, Health Sciences
Agricultural Sciences
Social Sciences

Target group:

Undergraduate’s
graduates

Duration:

4 to 10 months

Eligible for application are students who are studying at a university in one of the above-mentioned countries. Applicants must study a master Programme or have successfully completed at least 4 semesters of studies within a bachelor/diploma Programme by the time of taking up the grant.
Maximum age: 35 years (born on or after October 1st, 1979).

 

Grant benefit paid:

1) Monthly grant rate € 940.–
2) Accident and health insurance, accommodation
a) If necessary, the OeAD-GmbH will take out an accident and health insurance on behalf of the grant recipient.
b) The OeAD-GmbH will endeavor to provide accommodation (student hall of residence or flat) for recipients of grants who wish to get accommodation arranged by the OeAD.
